Latest announcements.

August 20th - 2 new posts in our blog about new photo equipment. My review of an iPhone app to create your studio lighting setups and a comment on the 4 new Nikon lenses released Wednesday.

August 18th - A few new galleries are online. One in particular is the result of a photo shoot with Nessa. For her first time in front of the camera she did a good job.
I also submitted today a new version of the iOS App for validation by Apple. There is one significant change in this version - Twitter is about to change the way apps can post tweets. The change will be completed by the end of August. The new version allows you to keep posting tweets from inside the app. A few bugs were fixed too and the performance has been improved.
Overall there has been a significant work done on the speed of the app over the last few month and I'm happy with the end result. The app loads faster and the updates are smooth, even for a gallery with many images.

Our blog is also updated regularly with articles about photography, technology and opinions. I recommend reading this post about a new method I developed to shoot tethered with your camera and your iPad. It's nice to have your photo appear on the iPad screen just a few seconds after it was taken... all that wireless!

A few of my fellow photographers from ASMP also sent me nice comments on my article about the future of Nikon. Thanks to all of you for the positive feedback.

August 8th - 4 new galleries are available with some nice photos of birds taken during spring and summer. I'm particularly pleased by the pictures of the ruby throated hummingbird this year and also the encounter with the pileated woodpecker. Those images are also available in the portfolio/nature section as slideshows.

July 23rd - If you visited this web site before you certainly noticed that a lot of things have changed. Our photos are still there but the look and organization of the web site has been improved. Among the most important changes we can mention:

  • A new navigation bar unified throughout the site. Now the navigation is always the same in every modules.
  • The compatibility with iOS devices (i.e. iPhones, iPads, iPodTouch). Now the slide shows (originally written with flash) have been modified and can be viewed on those devices. Check this out, it's beautiful, really.
  • Our blog is no longer a separate site and has been integrated here. Some of our old post have been moved to the new blog and in the future our new posts will be added here. The old blog will be dedicated to my personal opinion on topics that matter... at least to me.
  • You can now follow Mindworks Creation on Facebook and on Twitter. Every update to the web site will be announced there and it's also a good way to get in touch with us.
  • And... it's no longer black. I was in the mood for something lighter, so the new design is less colorful, a little more simple and soothing.

We hope you will enjoy it. Don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything wrong with the new design.

July 22nd - A new version of the iPhone App is also been submitted and is waiting for Apple's validation (hopefully just a few days). This update include some major changes and improvement.

badge App Store
  • The tabs have been reorganized to match with the new web site organization.
  • The App is much faster. An ugly bug that prevented the correct synchronization with the content of the web site has been fixed.
  • The App is now fully compatible with iOS 4 and support the new high resolution retina display on the iPhone 4.
  • A new tab has been added with a new post every time the photo galleries are modified or some new content is added.
  • The App connects to the blog on this web site and no longer my personal blog.

Update your version as soon as it's available. It's a free upgrade. We will let you know as soon as it's available.

And if you don't already downloaded your copy, you can get the current App in the iTunes Store.

If you have any questions about the App, please visit this page.
