Mindworks Creation is a photography and design studio in Atlanta, GA managed by Laurent Cavalie. We provide commercial photography and graphic design services in the US and Europe.

Latest announcements.

- The content of the site keeps being updated with the latest work. Some photos from the winter weather in Atlanta, more birds, some more views from the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the recent event with the French Ambassador to the US at the Atlanta Metro Chamber of Commerce.

- Mindworks Creation first iPhone App is now available to download on the App Store. We are pelased to announce that our iPhone Application has been approved and can be downloaded from the iTunes Store. To get your copy (it's free for now) click on the badge below.

- The updates on the website have been a little slower than usual because I'm currently working on an iPhone application to show my photography work. Hopefully the application will be available in the next few weeks and I know for sure already that it will look very nice.

More to come on this very soon.

- Last addition to the site is the gallery and slideshow for the FACC Beaujolais 2009 event. This is a traditional event that have been covering the last few years. this year I decided to take more 'behind the scene' photos of the staff prepapring for the event. After all they also deserve some recognition for the great buffet they prepared for this event.

- More photos are added daily to the new 'Galleries' section. Check it out.

- The 'Galleries' are open! I'm very pleased to day to announce that an entire new section of the web site is now up and running. If you click on the Galleries button in the top menu you will enter our brand new photos galleries. This site has used a lot of slideshows with advanced navigation but sometime it's good to be able to just browse a good old photo gallery. Now you can do that with a few kicks.

First I highly recommend that you install the Cooliris plug-in in your web browser. This plug-in brings a very interesting way to view images in a 3D wall. Look at Cooliris demo on their web site. They even have an iPhone app.

Better than a long talk about the new section I recommend that you go visit it. Let me highlight the meaning of a few icons that you will find there.

	will open the cooliris 3DWall and display the photos from the page you came from.
	will switch the display to a map with pointers for every images that have coordinates attached to them. This is commonly called geotagging.
	will download a file to your computer that can be opened with Google Earth and display the pictures on the globe. This feature works only with photos with geotagging information (most of my travel and landscape photos taken over the last few years do include that information).
	highlight the images that have been added to the galleries in the last 7 days.
	bring your attention to the categories with newly added content.

I also highly recommend that you register to get access to additional galleries. We require very few personal information (basically your name is enough), it literally takes a minute to register and it will allow us to share more information with you in the future. Of course we hate spam so we will not share your information with anybody.

Most of my portfolio will be displayed eventually in the galleries section but there are already pictures that were not released before. Go check them out.

- August saw a few updates that I did not highlighted here but mostly the month was spend working on new features for the web site.

- July 27th - About everything is new on the web site, except maybe the design. But behind the scene a lot of changes happened, if you are familiar you will notice details here and there.

As far as the content, there has been significant changes and additions. First pictures from the trip to France, the work I did for RockStar, as well as the photo shoot with Adrian for swimsuit and for RockStar also, my personal project called 'Distressed'. All this content is now online.

- This year again I had the pleasure to cover the Gala of the French American Chamber of Commerce that took place at the Intercontinental hotel in Buckhead. The photos of the event are online here.

- The result of the nice photo shoot with Adrian is now online. More is yet to come from that same day. It was a very interesting shoot with both available light and strobes... and a great model.

- That same day I also shoot Krista in the same studio. Krista has been modeling for years and it was a real pleasure to work with somebody so professional

- My photos of the 2009 Crystal Peach Award Ceremony are online. Find more about that event here.

- The web site got a huge update with several new galleries and new menus. I will let you look around for the new photos. There are many.

- Several updates have been waiting to go online, so here they come. To start there are 3 slide shows of architectural projects have been doing recently in Atlanta. A very nice residence at 225 West Paces Ferry, a medical center in Gainesville, GA with a nice modern interior decoration and the lobby of The Forum, a commercial building in Atlanta.

- Also new are some photographs from my trip to Arizona, in a series of 5 galleries with different themes.

- If you want to get in the mood for the Holiday season with a few images of snow, I highly recommend you have a look at the photos from my last trip to Switzerland. I came back with perfect postcards images of snow landscapes. The slide show is available here.

- On Thursday November 20th the Beaujolais Nouveau 2008 was released. I took pictures of this event organized by the French American Chamber of Commerce that took place at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead. The wine was good, the food too and the crowd enjoyed both.

- His Excellency Mister Pierre Vimont Ambassador of France to the US visited Atlanta, I got a chance to take some pictures of the event hosted by the French American Chamber of Commerce.

- The navigation of the web site has been modified and enhanced with drop down menus to access directly my last projects. Check that in the top navigation bar.

My latest projects include an impressive cooper's hawk, a nice session with Hope and with Megan.

- Still on the creative side, check the new slide show with HDR pictures of the Great Wall of China and my collection of more than 400 pictures from my project "Street photography in China".

About Mindworks Creation

The business of the studio started with architecture photography working for the Real Estate market and Interior Designers but quickly diversified to various aspects of commercial and editorial photography.
Laurent Cavalie, a French photographer, decided to create the studio after moving to the US in 2002. Laurent initially pursued a successful career in Marketing, before deciding to combine his professional experience with a long-time passion for photography. He created the studio to offer an innovative approach of commercial and editorial photography.
